Bonaire’s National Marine Park is an ecological sanctuary that includes the entire island’s coastline and provides a haven for an impressive array of over 300 fish species and distinctive corals. The marine park is a main draw card for visitors to Bonaire, popular with scuba-divers, kite-boarders, windsurfers, and snorkelers.
HOW MUCH IS THE NATURE FEE?
As a visitor or non-resident to Bonaire, if you plan on enjoying Bonaire’s Marine Park and/or Washington Slagbaai National Park, you need to pay the Nature Fee and it’s $40 for all visitors. Don’t confuse the Nature Fee with the Visitor Entry Tax, they are separate and unrelated costs.
WHAT IS THE NATURE FEE USED FOR?
The nature fees collected from users of the Bonaire National Marine Park help to fund the maintenance and protection of these extraordinary ecosystems for the benefit of future generations. Your visit to Bonaire and your contribution through the $40 nature fee, along with adherence to conservation regulations, play an important role in the preservation of this remarkable marine environment.
WHERE TO PAY YOUR NATURE FEE
You can pay for your Nature Fee on the Stichting Nationale Parken Bonaire (STINAPA Bonaire) website.
