Grocery shopping in Bonaire supermarkets.

Updated: Jul 24

While there are many fantastic restaurants on Bonaire, sometimes you just want a home cooked meal after a day of diving or seeing the sights. If this is your plan, make sure you pick accommodation that has cooking facilities. There are many available with full kitchens that have everything you need to whip up a home cooked meal. You will have no problem finding groceries in Bonaire supermarkets for these delicious meals you're going to make.

BONAIRE SUPERMARKETS HAVE A GREAT SELECTION OF GROCERIES

Bonaire offers a variety of grocery stores, ranging from well-established supermarkets like Van Den Tweel Supermarket, Warehouse Bonaire, and BonDiGro Supermarket to smaller local shops scattered throughout the island. These larger supermarkets provide a comprehensive selection of groceries, fresh produce, and meats, including both local and international products.

You'll find a wide assortment of American and European brands on the shelves. Given Bonaire's status as part of the Dutch Caribbean, these supermarkets stock an impressive range of Dutch cheeses, snacks, as well as items from North and South America. Imported goods in Bonaire carry a slightly higher price tag than their counterparts in typical American supermarkets, due to import-related costs.
